Use this fantastic opportunity to brush up your netball skills in readiness for the official netball season!

Register - as a team or an individual with friends - for a full specialist coaching session followed by match play under the guidance of our VNL athletes.

Options

Register as an individual: Cost $35  ($20 for current Power (rep) team players)

  • we will group participants according to their nominated friends / age / skill level

Register your team: Cost $300 for team of 9 or 10 players / $260 for team of 8 players

  • particpate in a comprehensive coaching session as a team (+/- your coach) followed by match play

ALL players & officials are required to complete the Annual Update & submit their certificate EVERY YEAR

ALL NEW VNL athletes and team officials are required to complete ALL Netball Australia Integrity Framework modules prior to Round 1 of each season.

Notes:

  • "Players" = ANY player to take the court; includes RESERVES Squad 
  • "Officials = ANY person required to sit on the bench on match night = coach, assistant coach, primary carer, team manager, bench officials

  • If you have completed your modules with another club, please forward the certificate will all past certificates included.

Penalties apply for non-compliance:

  • PLAYERS: Player quarters will not be counted towards finals qualifications
  • OFFICIALS: will not be permitted to sit on the bench
  • 2nd OFFENCE: Fine - to be payable by the offending player / official

Who are we and where did we come from?

The Boroondara Netball Association is affiliated with Netball Victoria, within the Chisholm Region and Central East Zone and involves approximately 3800 people - our vision “To be the leading sporting association, committed to the provision of attainable pathways to the top in all aspects of netball, enabling individuals to achieve their personal best within a caring community environment”.

The Boroondara Express VNL Club is administered by a sub-committee of the Boroondara Netball Association (BNA) under a separate operational plan and budget funded by the Boroondara Netball Association. 

Boroondara Express was formed at the end of 2008 following the review by Netball Victoria into the State League program. Boroondara Express was granted one of 10 licences across the state to compete in the new Victorian Netball League. In 2023, we were granted one of 12 licences across the state to compete in the expanded and re-vamped 2024 - 2028 Victorian Netball League.

What do we expect from all players, coaches and team personnel?

  • To submit a signed VNL player form and a club contract
    • To pay fees by due date
    • To attend training and match sessions as are directed by the Head Coach
  • To complete home training as directed by the Fitness Coaches
  • To participate in such fundraising and promotional activities as are directed by the Association in their capacity as managers of Boroondara Power.  These activities include junior development activities organised by the Association;
  • To comply with sponsorship requirements as directed by Boroondara Power’s managing body, the Boroondara Netball Association.
  • To work together according to our club culture (above) for the betterment of the club and players.
  • To adhere to communication pathways and dispute resolution procedures as directed by the Boroondara Netball Association.
