The Boroondara Netball Association is affiliated with Netball Victoria and, as such, all registered members have access to the Netball Australia Risk Protection Program providing:

  1. Personal Accident Cover
  2. Public & Products Liability 
  3. Club Management Liability (for incorporated clubs only)

Frequently Asked Questions

To be affiliated with Netball Victoria and receive these benefits, ALL members must pay an annual fee = State Membership. This is included with your team fees at the start of the season and is paid by us directly to Netball Victoria who, in turn, send you a Membership Card. This card not only confirms your insurance cover, but also provides various discounts, benefits and access to Netball Victoria programs.

Netball Victoria Membership fees, 2010:

  1. Senior (18 yrs & over)       : $58.00                      (age as at 31/12/2010)
  2. Junior (17 yrs & under)     : $40.00
  3. Modified (11 yrs & under) : $30.00

You will be considered a current Netball Victoria member, as soon as your Club or the Boroondara Netball Association receives your payment. Netball Victoira membership is only payable once per year, regardless of which affiliated netball team / association you may play with during that year.

Certificate of Currency

 A Certificate of Currency is often required by your local council, school or training venue prove that your Association or Club has liability insurance in place.

Injury - making a claim

If you sustain an injury when participating in a Boroondara Netball Association activity you may lodge a claim under the Netball Risk Protection Program for Non-Medicare Medical claims and loss of income.  This includes injury occuring during training, matches and Boroondara Netball Association clinics and programs. The Netball Risk Protection Program is arranged by a company called JLTSport.
