Phoebe & Sasha Jones (Nth Balwyn Netball Club) and Laura Johnston / Bronwyn Peddington-WEbb (Surrey Hills Allstars) / Grace Cameron-Muller (CB Tigers) / Bridget Gartland (Wattle Park Warriors) / Emma Johnson (Wild Things) were all awarded their umpiring BADGES by Netball Victoria this month.
NICOLE KEEGAN has recently achieved her ELITE COACHING COURSE accreditation. Nicole coaches our VNL Division One team, Boroondara Genesis

Maddie Morrison selected into the 17U AUSTRALIAN netball squad and Mary Livesay selected into the 19U Australian squad, April 2010.

They will attend a camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in July, to be coached by High Performance coaches from around Australia.

Claire Poyser, age 17, has been honoured for her community efforts at the City of Boroondara Australia Day citizenship ceremony. Claire was awarded a Certificate of Recognition for her outstanding contribution to the local community.                                                                                         "Celebrating Civic Pride"  

 The following Boroondara Genesis players have recently been selected into a 2010 Victorian State Team:
  1. Mary Livesay (19&Under team)
  2. Nicole Lindley (19&Under team)
  3. Maddie Morrison (17&Under team)        Congratulations!

Congratulations to the following players for gaining selection into the 2010 Central East Zone Academy Squad:

  1. Maddi Morrison & Genevieve Darcy (from Boroondara Genesis 19U squad)
  2. Kara Hargrave & Madelyn Iddon (from Boroondara Power, 19U Genesis Talent Squad)
  3. Nikola Jackson & Meg O'Halloran (from Boroondara Power 15U team) !!

They will participate in 8-10 x 3-hour sessions within the Zone and the Inter Academy weekend at the State Netball Hockey Centre. The program introduces players to a "daily training environment" of an elite athlete, including areas of strength and conditioning, technical tactical, and player welfare.
