Whilst our Saturday competition is held outdoors at the Boroondara Netball Centre, our Monday evening competition is held indoors at the Boroondara Sports Complex. Unfortunately we have only been allocated a limited amount of time to run netball programs at the stadium. Therefore evening competitions are limited to Mondays.   

As we only have the court capacity to run one season, commencing Monday, July 19th 2010. For teams who are keen to play the first half of the year, we would recommend the Sunday evening competition run by the YMCA at the Boroondara Sports Complex.  

The Monday competition match times will vary throughout the year from 6.30 - 9.00pm.

The philosophy and spirit of the Monday Competition differs from Saturday netball in that it is not a development program; but is purely social, catering for those members who, due to work, children and other saturday commitments want to continue to play their sport. Some players are very experienced netballers; others have never played before. Whilst the individual players in each team may vary considerably in skill, gender and age, so does the standard of the overall competition within each section.

1. Our Monday evening competition is an OPEN age (16 to 50) netball competition.
2. Some teams are MIXED and others are ALL FEMALE; however all play under our Modified Mixed Rules:   1) No more that 3 males on court at any one time; 2) Must be in different thirds: Player 1 GD/GK , Player 2  GS/GA,  Player 3  WD/C/WA
3. Grading is based on performance and NOT gender.
4. All umpires are very experienced and fully accredited. This is essential where age, gender and ability varies so much between teams.
5. Registration fees for the season are requested up-front for 2 reasons:  1) we are all volunteers and work full time, and simply do not have the resources to be handling and sorting out money each week. 2) We need teams to commit to a full season so as not to disrupt the fixture and costings.
