How to Join

Boroondara Netball Association "Pathway to the Top"

Select to earn more about each level in our pathway:

Junior Players (in Yr 1 - 4): click Junior Netball

  1. Year 1: Apply for JuniorNet G1/2 program (Preps to commence in term 4 unless physically & socially ready)

  2. Year 2: Apply for JuniorNet G1/2 program

  3. Year 3: Apply for JuniorNet G3 program

  4. Year 4: Join a Year 4 club team - as for Saturday teams

Saturday competition (Year 5 to Open age): click Competitions

  1. Join a Community club: contact the Club Secretary / Administrator directly

  2. Join a School club: contact the Netball Coordinator at your school

  3. Submit a Find a Team waiting list form and be placed on our Waiting List

  4. If you have a team, you may enter as an INDEPENDENT Team (you will need a manager, coach, umpire)

Please note that, if you have a few players and need to enlist more, we have a waiting list of keen players.

Boroondara POWER Representative teams: click POWER

  1. Players selected from Boroondara Netball Association teams for further development

  2. All must be active members of the Boroondara Netball Association as a player, umpire or coach

  3. Teams selected are 13&U (including 11U development players), 15&U, 17&U and 19&U. 

  4. Trials are held annually in October / November. 

  5. Teams train weekly at BSC and play weekly at Waverley

Boroondara EXPRESS VNL teams: click EXPRESS

  1. Teams play in the ELITE Victorian Netball League & must commit to our Daily Training Environment (Nov - Aug)

  2. Selections are open to any player in the community

  3. Teams selected are 23&U and Championship Grade - and a VNL Reserves (talent) Squad 

  4. Trials are held annually in October / November

Coach or Umpire:  click Coaching or Umpiring

Coach:

  1. complete minimum (on-line)Foundation course 
  2. submit a Coach application form relevant to the level desired ie) Juniors, Saturday, Power, VNL
  3. complete further accreditation levels: Development > Intermediate > Advanced > Elite

Umpires:

  1. complete your online theory and Level 1 course;
  2. submit an Umpire registration form and Umpire availability form
  3. work towards C badge accreditation: New trainee > Consolidating > Badge trainee
